Importing and Exporting Climate Controlled Products
I import and export products, which need to be stored in a cold storage, in and out of China. Can you give me an estimate of the costs of climate controlled, food grade cold storage in Hong Kong and Shenzhen?
ANSWER:
Graham,
Thanks for your questions. The logistics manager at PassageMaker was kind enough to make a few calls and help me answer this question. At the time of writing (Oct 2011), the costs to store a 20ft container are estimated as follows:
Hong Kong Cold Storage
HKD580/metric ton/month
HK unloading charges: HKD1400
HK loading charges: HKD1400
Shenzhen Cold Storage
10RMB/metric ton/day
SZ unloading charges: RMB 800
SZ loading charges: RMB 800
Wishing you successful China sourcing!
