Finding Chinese Investors

I have a license to operate a manufacturing industry of my choice at a free trade zone in Nigeria, how do I get partners that will be interested in investing in the business? I also have a general trading license in Dubai and will want to partner with Chinese investors. How do I get them?

ANSWER:

I am afraid your question is a bit outside of the scope of our expertise as our focus at the CSIC is on helping buyers of Chinese products rather than those looking for Chinese investors.  But if I was in your position, I would do the following:

  1. Contact your embassy in China.
  2. Contact Chinese embassy in your country.
  3. Use www.GlobalSources.com to identify the types of companies you think would benefit from investing with you. Contact them with your proposal.
  4. Attend trade shows and meet the Chinese companies directly.  For example, Global Sources hosts trade shows all around the world, including Africa and UAE.  You can find more at
