I have been reading your articles and blogs on China sourcing and found the advice given very useful. We are a manufacturer and planning to import some components used in the production from China for the first time. I have recently come across this company called Easy XXXX who claims to be the “one stop” import service company covering product sourcing, price negotiation, quality control and logistics. Reading from Easy XXXX website and their customer references, it appears that they are a trust worthy and transparent company. Through your past experience, have you ever come across Easy XXXX and if so, are you able to provide any feedback on them.
I am glad you are taking the process serious and doing your due diligence. I am not familiar with Easy XXXX but highly suggest you ask for references from clients that you can talk to rather than just reading what has been posted to the website. The other important thing is to confirm exactly how the broker is compensated. If they receive commissions from factory, then the work for them not you at the end of the day.
Here is a link to a whitepaper about selecting service providers:
I think you will find it helpful.
BTW, their website looks professional. It is the first time I have heard of buying a membership for sourcing support. That is an interesting idea and they appear to be suited towards small buyers, which is good fit for you. For your reference, www.PSSchina.com is a sourcing agency primarily serving medium and large buyers in the 100K to 20million USD range. You can find their pricing online. I founded that firm over 10 years ago.
Let me know how it works out with Easy XXXX. If they do a good job, I’d like to recommend suitable projects to them.
Best wishes on your sourcing program.
