I have an idea that needs to be patented. This idea could be distributed and sold universally. My idea would change the world of sports for example (for spectators). However, I do not know whom to contact and where to start. Could anyone kindly assist me?
As your idea is fresh and original, be sure to protect the IP. Even if you don’t plan to sell in China, you should still register the IP in China to help prevent knockoffs. The good news is, is that registration in China is affordable and once you are in the system, the law will actually protect you. China is a, first to register, rather than, first to market, IP system. So register your ideas BEFORE you start shopping around for suppliers. Registering after the RFQ is a great way to have your idea stolen before it goes to market.
Here is a short video I did on the topic:

I’m on the board of advisors at AsiaBridge Law firm and can recommend them with confidence.
Let me know how things work out.
BTW, down the road, if you need a partner to assemble your product in China, but protect the IP and get the quality right, check out the virtual tour at, www.PSSchina.com
